About NeCoRo Cat (Max)
The robotic cat NeCoRo was designed as a first of its kind real-life-looking emotional creature. Besides being a sofisticated robot with an artificial intelligence system and multiple build-in sensors, which provide a slef-organizing behavior, an artificial cat creates playful, natural communication with humans by mimicking a real cat's reactions. NeCoRo, which we named Max, stretches its body and paws, moves its tail, opens and closes its eyes, meows, and cuddles when being touched. Therefore we agreed that this robotic creature has all the potentials for our first Robotic Psychology and Robotherapy study.
